The Battle of Uhud was a major conflict between the early Muslim community of Medina and the Quraysh tribe of Mecca on March 23, 625 AD near Mount Uhud. The Quraysh initiated the war to seek revenge for their previous defeat at the Battle of Badr, bringing a massive force of 3,000 soldiers against Prophet Muhammad’s army of 700 ment.
